If you have any questions Please feel free to call us at Backwoods Fine Arts or by E-mail located in my m e page *Important - Special sectionHandling your print *Don't take your print out of it's envelope if possible, *Never try to pick up your print with only one hand, you will damage it making a dimple called a halt moon, * If you have to move your print, it's better to do so when it's in it's envelope it has support that helps to keep it flat. You will still damage your print if handled with one hand. *Use both hands and cradle it hanging on to both side's about midway down the print. Pick it up slowly both sides at the same time and lay it down the same way. *If you have to handle the print itself make very sure your hands are washed clean, oils from your hands can damage the paper. Again Never use one hand when moving your print. Things to know about Your Print - Before Framing. *If you receive your print rolled , Try not to store it for longer than 6 months before having it framed. it's harder to flatten if kept to long rolled. Keep it by placing it in between multi layers of card board or in a print bin stored flat. * Make Sure that you use 100% Rag Mat Boards on your Print,you will see the 100% cotton Emblem on the back of the Mat samples when you are picking out your mat colors at your framer. Acid free Board isn't the same. * Ask for Conservation Framing. This includes proper mounting of your print.Includes Corner mounts or pockets that hold your print in place under the Mats. * Use UV Glass-Or whats called Conservation Glass. The cost is more but it will help to protect your investment. it will not protect from direct Sunlight exposure But does help. Things to know After having your print framed. * Don't Ever hang your Print in direct or strong indirect sunlight as this WILL fade your print after a very short period of time. Even if there's conservation glass on it! Even if it's only for 10 minutes a day, it adds up over the years! * Make sure you don't hang you Art with a Regular nail, wire tends to slip off it. Use a hook type picture hanger of the right weight for the image. You don't have to hit a stud when using this type of hanger. * Place bum pons "Rubber button type spacers-3M on the bottom corners of your art, this helps to keep it from moving around on your wall when people -children go about.
