I have a Stanley #24 Patent Combination Try Square & Bevel in the hard to find 4" size. The 4" blade length is measured from the tip of the blade to the inside of the handle which is typically w all Stanley squares are measured. Square has a plated Rosewood handle with a slotted steel blade. Stamped on the Rosewood is "STANLEY RULE & LEVEL CO PAT. APR 5.1864". Only the earlier models had this stamping.

This square/bevel combination tool is in very nice shape. No cracks or chips in the Rosewood, no rust or corrosion on the steel blade and the stamping is very clear and legible. In my experience I have rarely seen this Stanley stamping on their #24 bevel/square. No owners marks on this example. Even the edges of the Rosewood are still reasonably sharp. This 4" size (and the 12" size) are considerably harder to find than the other sizes. You will not see many nicer examples of this square than this one.

My E-Bay philosophy is simple, you are the customer and you decide how you want to handle the deal. I will go along with most anything as long as it is not too outrageous and you keep me informed. If it will be a few days before you get payment to me, no problem, just let me know so I will not worry about it being lost. I do not have any hard and fast time lines on what happens when. Normally I will get the package to the PO the day after I receive payment. If for some reason that will be delayed, I will let you know.

As usual, you pay the shipping, insurance extra if desired. I personally recommend insurance if the item cost more than $100, but you decide. On most items I sell, I try to estimate the postage cost by USPS Priority Mail (my shipping method) and include that up front so you know exactly what the cost of the item will be. IÂ'm usually within a couple of dollars of the correct cost depending on your zip code. Unless it is too heavy or too large I ship everything, everyw by USPS priority mail. I always declare the value on international orders at the exact invoice price. Never any crazy handling fees or ridiculous reserves.

PayPal, money orders or checks accepted. Please allow a few days for checks if it is an expensive item. On most items I ship right away. So far all (well, most) of my dealings have been with nice, honest people. (As I would expect) .

I always leave feedback up front, right after you have paid. Some vendors never leave feedback first, they wait till you have left it, that way if you leave bad feedback they can retaliate. I have talked with E-bay about this problem but they always duck the issue. Anyway, I always leave feedback first because I know t will be no problem with my items (or on the rare occasion t is, I will immediately resolve the problem).

My satisfaction policy is also very simple, you are the customer and you decide if you want the item. Satisfaction guaranteed, no exception. Purchase may be returned for any reason or no reason within a week in original condition for a full refund. If it is something I did or failed to do I will also refund the postage. If you just changed your mind or found another one down the street, cheaper or better. I still accept returns except you should pay the postage.
