1911 bevelled edges SILVER VESTA CASE match safe CE&FdLd A hallmarked silver vesta case / match safe with bevelled edges and engraved with leafy patterns with a small shield vacant cartouche. The hallmark is on the rim; an anchor for Birmingham, the Lion Passant for English silver, with the date letter m for 1911 -12 and the maker’s mark CE&FdLd. The inside of the lid also bears the lion and the date letter. CE&FD Ld is the mark of Constantine and Floyd, jewellers and silversmiths of Regent Place, Birmingham In good condition; the spring and the hinge are good with the lid snapping shut and fitting well. Height 1.47 inches (37 mm) x Width 1.12 inches (28 mm) (excluding side rings) x Thickness approx 0.4 inches (10 mm). Weight 13.6 grams.
