Three original Ektachrome 35mm slides which were taken by Don Morice on November 27, 1960. Don and I were there for two days to watch, and photograph, the coal trains of the Bevier & Southern railroad and on Friday, the 27th, the railroad ran their ex-IC 3700 class 2-6-0 #109. Their CB&Q "mike" was down for it's "monthly" and that was why we were lucky to see the #109 doing the day's work ! This here-she-comes-there-she-goes set of three slides was shot about 5 miles south of Bevier as a loaded train headed for there and the "Q" interchange. These Ektachromes are pinker than the images you see here and if you buy them, you'll want to correct the color hue to compensate for the Ektachrome blue dye fade out ! I did it with my slide scanner and it's not difficult if you have a scanner or a photo restoration program. These three slides are nice and sharp !
