BG 209 Original Fillmore Poster New Year's Eve Party 1969-1970 One of my relatives had a shop in San Francisco during the late 60s-early 70s. People left posters for all kinds of events t Not being a fan of rock, he simply stashed them away in a pile and would probably have tossed them into the dumpster if no one had intervened. This poster was at the bottom of the pile, face to face with another BG 209 poster. They were stuck together at one corner (this one on the lower right side). I took them to an art restorer who separated them and treated them for mold. The colors look fabulous--like new. The back has residual mold damage and the bottom is discolored--would be covered up with a frame. The right side lettering looks a bit darker and the dove has some discoloration. The is slight rubbing (about 1/2" near the man's eye.) The most striking thing about the poster is the coloring which has stayed fresh and new-looking. This poster is larger than most; 20 3/4" x 27 3/4".
