BIG! 1920's Rookwood 11" Vase / Lamp Margaret McDonald Arts & Crafts Green

This auction is for a substantial and gorgeous Rookwood vase that had been converted to a table lamp, post manufacture, with a hole drilled in the bottom, and all the lamp accoutrements (see pic). The vase stands 11" tall, is a strong arts and crafts green around the body, with a deep purple/maroon viney floral--it looks like Clematis to me--all around the shoulder, and a rich teal green around the neck. Other than the drilled hole, this vase is in perfect condition, with one small manufacturing dimple in the glaze (see pic). Unfortunately, the drilled hole obliterates some of the information on the bottom, like the year it was made, but there is enough of the artist's mark, I believe, to determine it to have been decorated by Margaret Helen McDonald--one of Rookwood's most prolific artists. From the research I have done, my educated guess would be that it was made between 1918-1928. Also while doing research, I found a May 1929 "Country Life" magazine Rookwood Lamps advertisement, indicating that you could pick out a vase at one of their distributors (such as Tiffany's, Marshall Fields, Fredrick and Nelson's, etc.), and have them convert the vase into a lamp for you, to "meet particular requirements".
