This auction is for a stunning example of a highly pyritised multi ammonite fossil containing the species Gleviceras glevense from the world famous Jurassic Coast beach of Charmouth, Dorset UK. The fossil measures 73mm (2.87 inches) across at its widest point, which is very large for this fossil type, and is very heavy. There are multiple ammonite s of the species Gleviceras glevense and Eoderoceras obesum , and it has a lovely colour and shine. The detail is great making it a very attractive fossil. These species are very rarely found together in the same matrix. A one-off and unique fossil and lovely example of this fossil type. Around 195 million years old, this fossil would make a wonderful addition to any collection.
