Great Bargueño beautiful cedar wood furniture, inlaid with natural colors, and marfil.
This beautiful piece is crafted from cedar wood in 1920. About these pieces were made in the highlands of Peru, to the important people of the clergy, this bargueño was performed for ecclesiastic order of Merced, true devotees of the Virgin of Merced. This furniture is used to store valuables, whether crucifixes, shrines, etc. This is bargueño brown cedar wood, inlaid wood, natural colors, marfil, with religious motives. In the front (front), you can see on the altar to the Virgin of the Merced with the child, accompanied by angels, the shield of the Merced order, and decorated flowers. At the top we see the Virgin of Merced, with various saints belonging to the order of Merced, we can also see angels and the shield of Merced, and surrounded by flowers. The Order of Our Lady of Mercy and the Redemption of Captives , commonly known as the Order of Mercy ( Latin : Ordo Beatæ Mariæ Captivorum Redemption Virginis ) is a Catholic religious order founded in 1218 by St. Peter Nolasco ( ca . 1180-1245) for the redemption of Christian captives in the hands of Muslims ( 60000-1779 ). The Mercy is committed to a fourth vote , added to the traditional poverty, obedience and chastity of the other orders , the release of weaker ones in the faith , though his life threatened by it .
