Scarce art nouveau man's ring: *Hard to find art nouveau design *Eagle emblem on the top with E pluribus Unum banner or ribbon *This is the official seal or crest of the United States of America as well and also has meanings in Army insignia and other institutions such as congress *The ring is nickel silver and marked as such on the inside of the band *Has the earliest makers mark of the Uncas company - circa 1919. The mark was changed in 1920. This is a late art nouveau / early art deco transitional piece *It looks to have been sized (just a bit larger) at some time in the past, but was very well done. Visible from the inside of the band only *Measures about 3/4" wide north to south, band tapers to 4 mm in the back *Size 11 *Great vintage condition - no damage or quirks at all to mention.
