is a large lot of civil war items, all original civil war period. I'm getting tired of listing everything individually so s your chance to jump in on this lot and add to your collection or buy a nice starter collection. s what you get. 1.) ninth plate tintype of a man in half gutta percha case, no glass. 2.) three tintype (no cases) of men. first is a group shot of 4 guys all with gold pocket watch chains, some damage. Next TT is of a standing man, post civil war, and the last is of a seated man with a beard. Id'd on back as Wm Galbreath. 3.) 2 CDV's of the same man different poses. one w/ no back mark, the other backmarked Clarke's Union Photographic Gallery New York. 4.) 1851, 1852, & 1857 Illustrated Family Christian Almanacs, published by the American Tract Society. All 3 in nice condition. 5.) 1862 No. 70 the Old Farmers Almanacby Robert Thomas, published in Boston. It does have condition issues, looks like a little mouse had the top corners for dinner. 6.) July 1864 Youths Casket & Playmate, a magazine for boys and girls edited by Mark forrester. Published by William Guild & co. Boston, Mass. signed in period ink at top "Miss Josephine L. Swift" nice condition, some wrinkling to the front and back pages at bottom. 7.) albumen photo of a Jefferson Davis looking fellow, Id'd as Hugh Kinton at bottom. taken by National Copying Co. also has the name Emily Bailey written on back. 8.) 2-sided albumen photo, both women, 1 old & 1 young. 9.) engraving of Judson Kilpatrick 10.) engraving of John A. Logan 11.) engraving of John C. Fremont 12.) engraving of U. S. Grant 13.) engraving of Franz Sigel. 14.) old large print from a book of "Decisive charge upon Byrne's Confederate battery, by 78th Pennsylvania and 21st Ohio volunteers, at the Battle of Murfreesboro (Tennessee) January 2d, 1863" 15.) Newspaper~ "The Times, Saturday December 31, 1864" Some CW content but not much. This is what you get, if you have any questions please feel free to ask. Shipping will be $8.
