Signed Archimede Seguso Alabastro Dolphin Murano Vintage Pink Incredible LARGE Sculpture with Original Label This auction is for a striking and beautiful large sculpture by Archimede Seguso (original paper label with his name on it on base). It is of a dolphin emerging from the top crest of 3 wave structures that emerge from the base. Height is over 11" (nearly 11 1/2" tall), so it is big and heavy. The base is white alabastro throught the waves and the dolphin goes from a very light pink at the tail to a beautiful shade of pink at the head. Condition is excellent with no damage - that means no chips and no cracks! I think this one books high, and we are starting it with no reserve. This is an impressive and wonderful piece that would grace the Eames era home or the Art Deco abode. I would say that based on the label, it was made in the 50's or 60's.
