This is a gorgeous piece of vintage barkcloth in the most beautiful shades of creams and pinks and greens-huge cabbage roses, dogwood blossoms and lilies.... Stunning print. This is one continuous piece of yardage and just wait until you see the measurements...are you ready?!... It measures 39" wide selvage to selvage, and is over 7yards in length-that's right you didn't read it wrong..over 7 yards, uncut, unused. The texture is nubby, and is drapery or light upholstery weight. It feels like all cotton, but may have some synthetic in it. The selvage is marked Selected Vats Preshrunk Shrinkage within 2 Percent. This was a wonderful estate find and is in near mint condition. The only flaw I see is towards the very bottom near the edge, t are 2 spots less than an inch each -possible age spots but very very faint in color. Since the background is a creamy ecru, they actually blend in. I couldn't even get them to show up on cameral. This piece was well stored and shows it! No fold lines, no fading...just a faint storage smell-like your Grandmothers attic smelled! Not a musty and moth ball smell. This piece is truly incredible-and such a huge unused piece!
