Up for auction is a Vintage large Tap & Die set with it's original wooden box. It is numbered 65 1/2 and marked V oversize. All the pieces are original. It was Manufactured by Wells Brothers company, Greenfield Mass USA. T is some minor surface rust but not that much. The set was well protected by being greased many years ago. I started to wipe off the tools and then I realized that the grease had protected them all these years and I would leave the cleaning to the new owner. Everything that is adjustable moves freely and it is very usable the way that it is. The wood carry case is very solid with no splits. I didn't clean the case either. It has dove tailed sides and it probably could be made to look like new. T is a lot of grease embeddded into the case. The sizes are 1/4, 5/6, 3/8, 7/16, 1/2 ,9/16 ,5/8 and 3/4. This set would clean up nicely for a collector or leave it as it is and use it. This is a very heavy set and shipping is based on the buyers location.
