Up for sale is a grand old table by The Biggs Furniture Company. It was called a Colonial Claw-foot Drop Leaf Breakfast Table, item number A 372. It is a solid piece made of mahogany and flame crotch mahogany. Biggs reproduced from an original piece of the period of about 1750. Biggs described it as a very attractive table for your Library, Living Room, or Hall. Also they said it would make a very unusually Tea Table. It measures 30" high, 36" long, 20" with leaves down and 42" with them up. It is not stamped. If you collect Biggs, you know that they often did not stamp their pieces. You can see in the last two pictures the table from an old catalog / plate. We stand behind it 100% that it is a true Biggs item. The condition of the table is good since this table was produced between the 1910's to the late 1920's. T are some nicks and scratches on it, I have showed the worst ones in the pictures, and it is solid. I only wiped it down to get the dust off of it. It was located in old home with a huge foyer with two glass vases on it with flowers and it made a grand presentation. The home was done in a Colonial Williamsburg style with a lot of old C W Kittinger, Norris, and Henkel Harris pieces. Buyer is responsible for shipping. It can be picked up locally at zip code 23226.
