A rare copy of The Bill James Baseball Abstract from 1982. I believe it was self published by Bill James himself. There is a forward by Bill James to the reader; it lists him as "Editor and Publisher". The cover notes this to be "The 5th Annual Edition". The book is 206 pages. Since it was self published, I believe few of these books were produced and are in circulation. A true must have for any baseball fan who wants to learn about the early years of baseball analysis and sabermetrics. Used but in good to very good condition. There is no noted creasing on the covers. There are some darker spots on both the front and back covers, but minimal. There is some darkening of the front cover along the top and right side (probably due to sunlight exposure) but it is not noticeable. There is no writing in the book.
