Billy Butler used bat Marucci model of teammate Mike Jacobs. Billy used this Mike Jacobs model Marucci (manufactured 1/20/09) with Gwynn finish around April and May of 2009. Bat is engraved with Mike Jacobs' name, but the factory engraved #17 was crossed out and has Billy's #16 in black ink on the knob. I was not able to definitively match the bat in the pictures to this bat, because it appears the bat was heavily used after those pictures, but I think it is very possibly the same bat. So please treat the photos as a style match that illustrates Bill did use Mike Jacobs model Maruccis of this style and finish in this time period. Adding to the interest of this bat, I have seen a couple Billy Butler named bats in the same model MJ17M (aka Mike Jacobs #17 Maple), with the same Gwynn finish and a manufacture date of 5/18/09. Apparently Billy liked this bat so much when he was using it in April and May 2009, that he ordered the same exact specifications for himself. U.S. bidders and U.S. shipping only.
