Bing & Grøndahl of Copenhagen , Denmark made this gorgeous Cat Figurine. This is B&G Figurine # 2256. It features adorable cat in warm gray tones. The gentle texture of porcelain beautifully represents cat's body. Beautiful cat is in action "cleaning itself." In 1987 Royal Copenhagen merged with Bing and Grondahl. B & G, Bing & Grondahl refer to the founders: Fred. Vilh. Grøndahl (1819-1856), technical director; the brothers M.H. Bing (1819 - 1883) and J.H. Bing (1811 -1896) as economical directors. This figurine is marked with three towers in green. This hallmark comes from the City Coat of Arms of Copenhagen. 'B&G' is printed below the tower in green, "COPENHAGEN PORCELAIN MADE IN DENMARK" printed in green circle. T is also a code '2256' as well as production artist initials 'HJ' in green on the backside.

This is a large figurine. It measures 4 1/4" (11 cm) long and 3 ½" wide. It stands 7 ½" (19 cm) tall (all dimensions are approximate). Condition is very good, no chips or cracks, colors are vibrant. It will be a valuable addition to your collection and room décor as well.
