This is a lovely and very unusual pin dish, kidney shaped with inner curved indents in the porcelain. The colour graduates from taupe at the top to a very pale grey at the bottom. It is decorated with four daisies. The glaze seems to be missing on the rim and on the first photograph it is on the bottom right, just where the two edgers meet and there is an indent in the rim. There appears to be a tiny nibble there as well. I did not notice this when I took the photographs and I don't think they would come out well anyway so I have enabled the zoom facility for this listing so prospective bidders can have a closer look. the dish measures 6" (15 cm) from the top and 4.25" (11 cm) at the widest point. I believe this item was made between 1915 and 1947.
