DRESSER PHOTOS Birdseye Maple Empire Highboy Chest 2 over 4 This large chest has the unique finish that is only Birdseye Maple. Bright and still the understated elegance of an antique. This pieces dates to about 1930, still in unusually nice condition for its' age. Completely original and large, a full size, oversize highboy provides the storage space while keeping your floor space free for more antiques. Consider a second Birdseye piece to compliment at a later time since this finish becomes that much more striking. The drawers are dovetailed and solid hardwood. Slight carvings flank the drawers and along the bottom. At its' base, bun feet keep the chest about 4 inches from the floor. The only passage of time mark is a minor chip in the veneer at the bottom corner of a single drawer, quite minor and shown in closeups. This massive chest weighs about 150, and its' close to 5 foot tall. All the space you'll need in this eccentric golden finish.
