I have for your Bidding, this Rare Bischoff Red Decanter with a Bubble Stopper. I actually have a pair, the other one will be put up for auction as time allows. It does not have a label, but I have found the web site with a picture of it (See the last picture). Bischoff was located in Culloden, WV. 1922 - 1963. The company was sold in 1963 to Lancaster Colony. They then sold the company to Chuck Sloan and it closed around 1984. This decanter is in excellent condition with no cracks or nicks except w the pontil on the bottom was fired off. t are some black dots as shown in the pictures on the pontil but it in no way takes away from the looks of the decanter. The decanter is 21" high with the stopper, and 16" without the stopper. It is 2" dia. at the top and has a 1" opening for the stopper. The first bubble is 3-1/4" , the second is 3-3/4" dia. and the fourth is 5" dia. with the bottom measuring 5" dia. these are estimated measurements. The stopper is 5" long and the top bubble measures 2" dia. and the second and third bubble are 1-1/2" and the bottom of the stopper measures 1-1/4" graduating down to 1" to fit the decanter opening. I have not noticed that any liquid has been stored in it, only dish soap and water when I cleaned them. When I purchased them the original owner had masking tape around the stopper, which I cleaned off ,and t might still be some residue from the tape. I prefer Paypal for payment. However I will accept money orders.International Bidders: NO international bidders without prior permission. Shipping costs are often prohibitively expensive.
