This is a rare and exciting historical item. Years ago a famed military artist painted the German battle cruiser Bismarck and I purchased it ( 18" X 24" framed ) along with the artist's rendering of the ship's logo and the original autograph of one of the surviving crewmembers. This photo will also be added below. What I decipher is his name is Bruno Reisman (I will check it out and add it to auction later) and a very impressive professional model of the ship built by a museum crew. The display comes with a great book, The Destruction of the Bismarck, a 385 page book that chillingly describes the power and first cruise success of this mighty ship--at the time, the most impressive and most advanced battleship on the high seas. Believe me, this is a very impressive piece of art and history. Please ask me if t are any details you wish to clarify. On February 9th I added another picture to show the ship's unique log and the signature of a survivor of the Bismarck's sinking. The time has come! I'm the author of Wings of World War II and am selling the last of my inventory from the original and only printing of this ground-breaking book. In other auctions I've been selling the last, very last of my hardbound books. These books are still in near mint condition, never used and carefully stored for 20 years. Recently they were given the read more
