And Then T's Mod Up for auction is this astonishing set of 5 pieces of authentic vintage Bitossi Italian Pottery. Each piece is lovely in its own right, but when seen altogether, the collection is just striking. This 1950's pottery set includes: 1. Large oval serving platter, 19'' long by 10'' wide, signed underneath ''827 Italy'' and retains some Raymor sticker residue. It is irregular in shape and has a very hand-thrown character.2. 2-piece lidded rectangular box. 7 3/4'' long x 4'' wide x 2 1/4'' tall. The bottom is signed ''828 Italy'' and the box retains part of its Raymor sticker. The orange corner of the lid has some chipping and t are rubbed areas in the glazing w the top rests on the bottom. 3. Large serving bowl, 10 1/2'' wide by 3'' tall, irregular in shape. This bowl is signed ''824 Italy''. T is one hairline crack in the glaze (not in the bowl) on the bottom and various small chips around the edges, none of which detracts from the beauty of the bowl.4. Oval 2-pc. covered dish-This unique serving piece is 7 1/4'' long, 5 3/4'' wide and 4 1/2'' tall. It is signed on the bottom ''826 Italy'' and has a capital letter "B" for the artist's mark. This piece has no chips or cracks that I can find. 5. The final piece is an ashtray that is 8'' long x 6'' wide x 2 1/2'' tall. It is signed ''825 Italy''. It is the only of the 5 pieces that really exhibits any daily use. T are numerous chips around the edges which we have shown in the pictures. So t you are...A rare and stunning 5-pc. set of Bitossi pottery, sequentially numbered and signed by the maker. The glaze is matte. The colors are orange, yellow, parchment, mulberry, and black. The pictures speak for themselves. The pattern is geometric and the shapes are amorphous. Careful shipping on this set will be $35 to the lower 48 states, via USPS, insured.
