BIZZARE EARLY CHERO-COLA MISTAKE BOTTLE FROM FT. SMITH ARKANSAS.This is a very interesting bottle, it does not have a makers mark that I can see on the bottle. It looks like it was made from a crudely made bottle mould, perhaps a counterfeit bottle mould. The bottle has a lot ofimperfections in the glass, first off, the word "Contents" is misspelled on one side of the bottle, it is spelled "Contets"(see photos) and the lower case R in Chero looks like the letter K was used instead and they removed the lower leg of the K. Also, notice the inconsistency between the lettering on either side, look at the capitol C in Chero, one side is different than the other. Notice the L in Cola, one side it has a capitol L and the other side has a lower case L. In general the letters are crooked and inconsistent with one another. One more thing to note, the glass on the bottom of the bottle is uneven and gives the bottle a slight lean to one side. If you have a Chero bottle from this era look at it and compare it to this bottle.I consulted with a collector who has collected Chero bottles for over 25 years and he has never seen a bottle like this one.This bottle has FT.
