Description Beautiful solid sterling silver 20" Necklace Made in Scandinavia. Marked 925 and Lapponia. Lapponia is the archaic roman name for the Northern region of Sweden and Finland, now called Scandinavia. This necklace was designed by Bjorn Weckstrom. It carries several marks including 925 in the middle of balance scales, H8, which means it was made in the early 80s, a heart inside a crown and another 925 after the letter "W" All the marks are on the end of the same link as the name "Lapponia". This necklace is not made anymore and is relatively rare. As a matter of fact, I haven't seen another one like it anywhere without a heavy pendant which drives up the selling price almost exponentially. One recently went for over a thousand dollars and several went for more than $350.00.
