Beautiful Vintage Bla ck Amethyst Set of 8 Salad/Luncheon Plates For your review we have a stunning set of 8 black amethyst salad/luncheon plates. The plates are octagon shape with a "y" design and measure 8 1/4" across at widest, the base is raised and measures about 4 1/2" across. There are no markings on the plates so the maker is unknown, the condition is excellent no chips or cracks or visible scratches. They appear very black in the photos, out in the sunlight you can see the very dark purple. You could use these plates with so many settings or just display them with the rest of your collection.
