All of you Slag Glass or Marbled Glass collectors out t.. Hold onto you hats!!!... This has to be one of the most “STUNNING” pieces of Slag Glass we’ve had to offer in quite some time. It’s a gorgeous... three footed... Vase... in a combination of glass colors that we seldom see... and a style that leaves nothing more to be desired!!!... It comes to us in a Dual-color combination. The dominate color is a “deep” Amethyst. The other color is a Milky White. I believe this was called the “Dolphin and Sea Shell” pattern. The handle on the cover is a Sea Shell... and the three feet are stylized dolphins with their tails extending up along the sides of the bowl. Garlands of seashells decorate the middle section of the vase. This is a very unusual and ornate vase that stands about 8-½ inches tall and about 4-1/4 inches across at the top. The separation in the glass colors is exceptionally good... and the swirls are just super. The condition appears to be perfect. T are no makers marking on this piece… but we were told that this was produced from the original Westmoreland mold for Rosso Glass. As you might know... these quality “slag glass” pieces are all handmade... with the artisan pulling first one color of glass from one furnace and then another from a second... and so on... onto his “punty” rod.
