This auction includes: 1966 Aurora Black Beauty Model Kit sealed in Factory Box (Bright graphics, factory plastic sealed complete, no dings or creases, slight buckle in box on top side edge) Dated 1966 Aurora Plastics Corp. Kit No. 489-100 On 2/18/11 a viewer asked for me to post more pictures to help determine whether or not the Aurora was Factory sealed or had been re-sealed. I have posted (8) additional pics to hopefully help the more experienced collectors in Ebay land make the decision on their own. I am far from an expert on models, I purchased this 12 years ago in as sealed condition and it went straight to the curio cabinet. There is a D handmarked with a marker on the cardboard bottom underneath the plastic and a sliver of plastic or stringlike material about 1/2" wrapped underneath the plastic...Sold as is... Revised 2/20/2011: An Ebay viewer/model expert has reviewed the Aurora model and I will add their comments in which I value... I'm currently eying the Aurora kit. Unfortunately, it's a reseal. An original seal has a long 1" overlap of the cello on the underside that goes the long side length of the box. Additionally, the cello (NOT shrink wrap) is actually wrapped on the ends like a gift wrapped present. Due to this conclusion I am dropping the opening bid to 119.95 ( I have alot more invested just in the Aurora & will keep it if this auction doesn't sell.) This will be sold sealed and AS IS...I bought this in the 90's as an original factory sealed Aurora so it is up to the winning bidder to open if they wish...1998 Polar Lights Black Beauty Model Kit sealed in Factory Box (Bright graphics, factory sealed plastic complete, front right corner side of box dinged and creased in the very corner, otherwise nice.) Dated 1998 Playing Mantis Model # 5017 1967 Comic Ad (Here comes the Green Hornet's "Black Beauty" "Faster Kato ") (Very slight center bottom crimp about 1/2" up no tears, image unaffected.)
