Note: This lamp is black (paint). I also have listed a red one (see my listings). I am using some of the pics from the red on to show the lettering on the lamp. It shows up better in the red one's pics. Used on the Erie Canal system. Original paint. Different colors were used on different sides of the canals. This black one has been altered; it has been converted to be an electric lamp that uses a standard bulb. Overall in pretty good physical condition, but it is a used lamp and it does have some chips and t to the globe. Made by Dressel, it is called a Mohawk Lamp ( I suppose named after the Mohawk Indians of the upstate NY region) and reads "New York State Canals". Quite heavy. Dimensions and Weight : The lamp weighs 24 pounds. It stands 23 inches tall, from base to the tip of the handle. It is 18 inches tall from the base to the top of the cap. The base is 10 inches in diameter. The globe is 7 inches in diameter. (close estimations) Shipping Note: Please ignore the eBay automatic calculator amount!
