If you are the FIRST bidder and you win the auction, you will get FREE shipping! The best black forest bull & cows carvings on ebay. I have owned these for many years and it is time to thin the herd. The large one is the bull, hand carved by Maeder, a well known carver from Lucrene. It is in perfect condition. The smallest is a cow with bell, hand carved by Huggler + Co.. The sticker says its been in business 75 years. This traditional company was founded almost 200 years ago. The artistic skills of Johann Huggler (1834-1912) earned him the title of woodcarving king of Brienz. He became the driving force behind Brienz's woodcarving industry. His son, Hans Huggler-Wyss (1877-1947), continued the successful family tradition. In 1915, the creative artist Hans Huggler began producing novel nativity, folk and animal figurines with an exceptionally life-like and expressive quality for that time. To this day, these figures are still known well beyond Switzerland’s borders as Brienz nativity figurines.It is in perfect condition.The middle size cow is dated 1958, as a gift. It looks older than that though. It also is almost perfect with the exception it's right horn tip is broken about a third of the way down, check pic's.Paypal only.Last 2 pics are other quality items I'm listing soon.
