My grandmother Albertine brought this carved wood inkwell over from Germany (Heidelberg) when she emigrated to America in 1929, so I'd guess its age to be eighty years plus. The dog has glass eyes. The twin inkwells have hinged covers, with removable porcelain pots. size: the rectangular base measures 10" X 4.25" condition: great vintage condition-- no notable damage, both porcelain ink pots are present, carved dip pen with brass nib is present and included. This auction is for the inkwell, but I'm also selling two related pieces-- a carved eagle blotter, and a carved bird paper clip cup. I've included a photo of all three items together in order to show how they look as a three piece set, should someone wish to buy all three. I gladly accept Paypal or money orders .
