This is a cuckoo clock by August Schwer. I have no idea if it works. I got it from an estate. It came to me in pieces and I don't know how to put it together. I can get it all together except for the chains. I don't know how those go on. When I manually move the hands of the clock, it cuckoos once on the 1/2 hour, and once for each hour (6 o'clock cuckoos 6 times). Each time it cuckoos, the weight moves lower. T is a squirrel on each side of it, and a bird on the top. When I remove the back, the inside has the following information: G. M. 186; 25/79; Made in West Germany; ?egula; NO ?? Jewel? unadjusted; August Schwer. W the question marks are is because t is a part over these and I am unable to see them. The body of the clock is about 7" X 10", depending on w the ornamentation ends.
