Captivating new look 50s dress in crisp, shiny black taffeta. V neck, mock shirtwaist bodice has 3/4 length sleeves with ruching at elbows, underarm gussets, and a flattering dropped waistline. Placket running up the front of dress and around neckline is trimmed in black lace and has decorative rhinestone buttons. Dress closes on the side with a metal zipper. Original belt is missing. Full swingy skirt consists of many gored panels with vertical pintucks and eight horizontal rows of black lace.Label reads "Rembrandt".Measurements-bust 36", waist 28", hips free, shoulder to narrowest part of waist 14 1/2", shoulder to dropped waist 18", dropped waist to hem 27".Excellent condition. The top rhinestone button is missing. I put a vintage pin there for display purposes.
