Offered for auction is an amazing collection of prints done (original drawing done by Winold Reiss) for Great Northern Railway Company. T are 24 beautiful colored print showing Blackfeet Indians of Glacier National Park. They are in excellent condition and well-suited for framing. Included in the package is a booklet by Frank B Linderman called, "Out of the North" which gives a historical sketch of the Blackfeet Indian tribe. It still has the orginal envelope , which is pictured and the manila envelope the whole things could have been mailed in. This collection of portraits cost a dollar when they were published in 1940 (a lot of money during the war). The names of the people in the portraits are: Night Shoots, Jim Blood, Scalping Woman (what a beautiful, strong woman!), Long Time Pipe Woman, Singing in the Clouds, Morning Gun, Short Man, Clears Up, Lazy Boy, Morning Bird, Little Plume, Only Child, Big Face Chief, Turtle and his young son, Many Horses Little Rosebush and baby, Juniper Buffalo Bull and Little Young Man, Buffalo Body (stunning!), Snow Bird- in carrier (a baby), Double Steel and Two Cutter, Arrow Top, Plume, Sopeia and Mameia, Not Real Bear Woman, Two Guns (magnificent study). and each portrait has a brief narrative about the person beeing shown in the picture.
