You are bidding on a Vintage Blacksmith Atha Tool 1 3/4 lb Straight Peen Anvil Hammer Newly installed finished Hickory handle, matching original length The hammer was recently obtained from an estate sale, shows to have been well cared for, exact age is unknown. The hammer head is stamped with the A Horse logo of Atha Tool Company , and a number 2 . The hammerhead is 5" wide, with a 1 3/16" x 1 1/4" wide hammer point, and a 1 9/16" straight peen end. The hammer is approx. 15" overall in length, and weighs approx. 2 lbs 3 ozs., including the handle. I believe the hammerhead is 1 3/4 lbs. The hammer is in good condition. As with the vintage of the tool, t is some normal wear, some dings and scratches, all as noted from the photos.The Hammer would greatly enhance any collection or use it as a working tool .
