For auction is a straight peen (pien) hammer used in blacksmithing. Piece is impressed with makers name, however the company name is worn. Readable is "E. ------- & Co. Solid Cast Steel, Brooklyn, NY". This hammer weighs 24 oz. and has a 16" ash handle with the handle being very narrow in the center or closer to the head - it appears to be original to the piece. T are no nicks or chips on the head or peen. With a little cleaning this will make a handsome displayable piece. Any questions, please ask.
