We're pleased to offer the beautiful, very large, English Ironstone serving tureen pictured below. This piece is being offered with its original ladle. (See picture below). The back stamp confirms that this lovely tureen is the work of Blakeney Pottery Limited, of Tunstall, Stoke-on-Trent, England. Blakeney originally was founded in the late-1960's. The factory flourished into the late-1990's, when it was forced to close. In 2000, Bernard Meakin -- a name well known in the English china industry -- reopened the pottery, moving the factory to Pinnox Street, in Tunstall. The pattern on this piece is known as Chelsea, and features several large sprays of bright, multicolored flowers. This exceptional tureen is a fine example of contemporary English ironstone pottery, made all the more impressive by its sheer size. The tureen stands approximately 10 1/2 inches tall, and measures about 13 inches wide. The condition is very good -- no chips, cracks, or other damage. This piece displays wonderfully, and would make a fabulous addition to any collection, or table. Don't miss this unique opportunity to add this very special English Ironstone tureen to your collection, today. Please feel free to contact us with any questions.
