This small antique book is bound in brown cloth with black decorations and gilt titles on the cover; it measures 5 ¼ x 7 ¾ inches and contains 154 pages. The frontispiece is an engraved portrait of the author, Mr. Harvey A. Fuller, known as and offering his services as: “The Blind Lecturer.” Contents : Following a brief Preface, there are seven chapters, as follows: Chapter I—Whence; II—Early Life; III—Journey West—New Home—Return; IV—Second Journey to the West—Travels—Misfortunes; V—Retrn East—School Life at New York; VI—Vacation Visit to the West—Final Departure from the Institution; and VII—Conclusion. These chapters are followed by a series of 20 Poems by the Author. There are a few engravings illustrating the text. The last few pages constitute an advertisement for read more
