Hi, I heard Ozzy on the radio yesterday talking about an anniversary release of his solo work, which made me go and dig out my originals. I queued up outside my local record shop in Southampton waiting for the shop to open to buy this. I bought it the day it came out. Back in those days I used to hang around the local hotels when the bands came to visit. Most of the bands stayed in one of three hotels and it wasn't too hard to work out which one had the huge tour bus outside. I'd already seen Black Sabbath doing the Heaven and Hell tour earlier in June and so had my stack of autographed Sabbath records just waiting for Ozzy's signature (I missed them before the break up). It was 2nd October and I had a front row seat (A24 -see attached photo). I got to the Gaumont (now The Mayflower) really early and Ozzy was in the Rolling Stones mobile recording studio, at the back end of the venue, doing sound checks. He came out f'ing and blinding and I worried he was in a really bad mood but nope he was just swearing like a trooper. He came over to me and my friend and asked if we had any cig's. He f'd and b'd a bit more when he noticed the pile of records I had with me! He expained they were going to record some of the concert and we chatted whilst he signed them all. I had a copy of the new Sabbath "LIVE AT LAST" album that NEMS had released earlier and he almost refused to sign it. He took out his lighter and mocked setting fire to the corner of it which made me smile as Geezer Butler had also done that a few months back. Ozzy headed into the venue and so I headed back to the hotel and bumped into Randy outside. He was trying to get his bearings and noticed my t/shirt and long hair and worked out I'd be a good person to ask where the venue was. He was a really nice chap and although he needed to get on, he stopped for a little while. I was taken by how slight he was. He was very polite and I liked him immediately. He signed the Blizzards of Oz record and a few other things (not for auction at this time). I watched him walk off to the venue and regret not having the sense to walk with him. I collected the autographs of Bob Daisley and Lee Kerslake after the show by the stage door, where I also grabbed Randy and Ozzy's autographs on my programme too. This auction is only for the signed Blizzard of Oz 12" record. The other artifacts shown in the photos aren't included in the sale, and are there just for info. I might sell the programme and other records some other time. What you see is Lee Kerslakes signature top left with Bob Daisley just underneath. Ozzy Osborne's and Randy Rhode's are just in the archway behind Ozzy. The record is in pretty good condition. I don't remember any scratches and it's been a long while since I had a record player. When the record came out it came with a small poster inside showing the back of the record and they autographed that too, but I'm going to keep that. I nearly forgot. They recorded a 12" single of Mr Crowley that night and if you listen you can hear some idiot in the front row whoop. I figured that if they were going to record anything it was going to be that song... Sorry about that folks. If you have any questions, please ask. I'm afraid that I can only accept paypal. I've estimated how much it'll cost to post but if you're buying from oversea's please let me know so we can work it out. I'm afraid you'll need to have good feedback and have over 10 purchases. Thank you and , Tony.
