RARE BLUE 1970's SANYO RPT 1200 PHONOSPHERE RECORD PLAYER TURNTABLE RADIO Vintage 1970's Sanyo RPT 1200 "Phonosphere" record player/turntable radio. The Phonosphere measures approx. 14" tall by 13" wide by 13" deep, and can play 45 records with the somked plastic dome top open or closed and can play 12" lp's with the lid open. The 45 record adapter for the turntable looks like the top half of a disco ball and it has a light that you can turn on or off built in to shine on it for that disco effect. It also has an AM radio built into it. Overall condition of the Phonosphere is excellent, as the turntable works in both 45 and 33 speeds, the radio function works, the light for the disco ball adapter is working, the speaker puts out a good sound with no crackling with the volume/power control wheel is turned, all the control switches and wheels work well and feel solid, the needle for the record player seems to be in pretty good shape, there is nothing more than light surface scratches in the plastic dome lid, no deep scratches, gouges, or cracks, the blue plastic still has a nice shine to it. The only real condition issue that it has is that it is missing the 2 decorative plastic pieces that went on either side of the Phonosphere where the hinges for the dome top are, but you would never really miss them unless you knew they were suppose read more
