Beautiful, wonderfully molded blue & iridescent colored glass vintage covered butter dish in the butterfly & berry pattern! Though I am not a glass expert and the piece is unmarked, I believe it was made by Fenton. The dish with its cover measures to be about 7" tall x about 7 1/4" wide x about 7 1/4" deep and weighs about 11 pounds, 14 ounces. This beauty was just purchased at a country auction last Saturday. It came from an extensive Fenton collection and was by far the stand out piece! Now I am offering it to the highest bidder on Ebay. It is in good vintage condition! I did spot some tiny fleabites on or near the inside rim of the dish(see some examples in the 5th and 6th photos) as well as a shallow cut mark or crack about 1/8" long near the edge on the back of the dish (see 7th photo). T are also some minor rub marks, discoloration marks, scratches, a few small spots a bit rough to the touch,some bubbles and lines in the glass and some tiny white raised spots which I am not sure about. I am thinking they and some of the other items noted above could merely be an imperfection from the manufacturing process. Please see some examples of the above in the photos. In my opinion, none of these issues significantly detract from the piece. A beautiful vintage glass covered butter dish for the discerning collector and all those who love beautiful things!
