Offered: Very hard to find EAPG shaker in a popular pattern. This is made of an aqua blue slag - AKA blue custard glass - with its' original lid. Made by Ditheridge in the 1880s, they say the molds were made from actual ears of corn. The shakers certainly look lifelike enough for that to be true. At approx 4" tall it is substantially larger than our regular custard corn shakers. Base is a scant 1 3/4" across. T is the usual roughness under the lid + plus quite a residue of pepper dust to show that what it had long been used for. The embossed top has one large and two small splits, these cause the lid to fit somewhat loosely, but it does not fall off when turned upside down. Aside from above mentioned rim roughness the piece is in excellent used antique condition with no chips, cracks or flakes. Lechner lists as "very scarce" but we have not seen one in years! A double for us so due to space constraints we must sell.Low start and no reserve, buy-it-now option for those who wish to forego the auction.
Please note that all items are from our personal collection unless otherwise noted. As we continue our downsize of D/P glass and other collectibles to make room for our growing mass of EAPG. We are non smokers and regular bathers. We prefer Paypal, a free service to buyers and the proven safe way to pay online, first time users can receive discount on initial purchase. Our Paypal account accepts CREDIT CARDS. We will happily accept M.O. from buyers with current positive feedback. PLEASE ADVISE AT END OF AUCTION if you wish to pay with M.O. We pride ourselves on shipping W/I 24 hrs of recpt of funds. Please contact us with any questions or concerns B/4 bidding, we are always available for questions or extra photos. We prefer sales to be final but will work with buyers to handle any problems that may arise. We strive to describe items with accuracy and provide quality photos, but no one is perfect least of all us! Returns are accepted if contacted on receipt of item and with sellers prior agreement, communication is key when a problem arises. Cordial relations are a must between buyer and seller. We do not exchange rude email with anyone, ever! Our feedback shows that we are proud of our reputation. Our first of only three negs came from a buyer who wanted return of postage on broken items that were insured, please note, we do not give back shipping, that is between the buyer and the USPS( in Seattle the PO won't do it, but we understand in some areas they will)! We have a 2nd neg that was retaliatory from a seller who did not approve of our positive, we have never had a negative feedback from a buyer so bid confidently! We have NEVER left a negative and hope we never do. All measurements are approx because some folks want to argue about fractions of inches and we prefer NOT! Thanks for looking and regards, gaslight99.
