is a one gallon blue decorated stoneware storage crock from the south central Pennsylvania, Maryland or Virginia area. It dates from the second half of the 19 th century and is in perfect condition. The crock stands 10 inches tall and is 6 ¼ inches in diameter at the base. It is decorated with four leaf designs around the shoulder. The indentation around the neck was designed to tie off a waxed paper seal. Thus it never had a lid. The condition is excellent. T are no chips, cracks or repairs. The wear is absolutely correct for a well cared for piece of stoneware of this age. Blue decorated stoneware sells for a premium and people today are willing to accept, and pay premium prices for damaged items. Condition is everything and this one is perfect. This crock will open at one dollar and sell to the high bidder without reserve and regardless of price. The buyer will be responsible for postage and insurance. It carries a money back guarantee. If you do not like it for any reason return it undamaged for a refund of your purchase price. You will have to cover the cost of postage.
