The phantom is caused by included bits of black shale , and it is an optical illusion that gives it a bluish color . This one has a great phantom . The crystal is well formed and water clear . It has tiny recorder keepers on two different faces . Has a channelling face too . . It is a fantastic crystal ! It is from wegners blue phantom mine in Mt. Ida , Arkansas . 1 1/4" tall x 1" wide . You can click the rotating cube to freeze and expand the pictures. These photos show me at work & play , digging for fun & profit. Recently the Travel Channel came out to film me on a couple of my digs . We're on the travel channel, on the Cash and Treasures " amethyst episode & also on the Georgia star rose quartz episode . I dig in Georgia , North & South Carolina , Texas , New York & Arkansas , most of the crystals I sell & often list items from them on eBay as well as in my rock shop in Georgia . Color photography provided with a Kodak dx6490 or a fuji s7000 both of which have excellent natural color rendering and representation . I never alter the color or photoshop to sweeten the color to make the stone look better than it does in real life ., especially in light or pastel colors , the specimen looks much better in person & with more color than the photo suggests ! Shipping in the U.S varies . Sometimes it is offered free , other times the actual charge of postage and packing materials is charged . In the cases w shipping is charged , we do combine shipping, the first item has a certain base price ( usually $4 ) and each additional item is only $1 more , provided that the items can be shipped in one package & that only one payment has been sent . You'll never pay more than $10 on shipping ( if the shipping calculator total gives you a higher amount , just ask for an invoice and I will correct it ) . Paypal usually gets your item sent out same day or next ( unless I am on a digging trip ) . Tracking number always provided and you will usually receive an email notifying you of the pending shipment & with tracking number - please assume that the item is shipped if you get an email saying a label was created , even though tracking info may not indicate actual shipping . Please allow 10 days after paying to recieve your item. Please refrain from enquiring about your item for at least a week . I ship as fast as possible .
