Up for bids is a blue ridge square round salad plate made on the woodcrest blank and painted in the "Appleyard" pattern. This a tougher to find blue ridge pattern and this plate is the only example I've ever seen in person or on ebay. It's a lot like 'sunrise', 'cock of the morn', 'weathevane' or 'red barn' but is different. I looked through the Ruffin books but couldn't find it listed, but did find it on page 54 of Betty and Bill Newbound's 1989 book "Southern Potteries Inc. Blue Ridge Dinnerware". No chips, cracks or crazing found. T are a couple of brown paint smears under the glaze on the back. The back is stamped with the mountain and pine tree southern potteries' logo. Winning bidder to pay for priority shipping and optional insurance. Payment by paypal or money order preferred, but I will accept a personal check. I have other quality blue ridge items listed. Combine auction wins and save on shipping fees. Thanks for looking.
