In very near mint conditon, a wonderful Shell Bon-Bon from Southern Blue Ridge, decorated in "Garden Lane". Well marked clearly as shown. This elegant shaped bowl is 9" long, 8-3/4" wide, 1-3/4" high. No chips or nicks or cracks, hard to find any wear or use marks, no crazing or stains. This is a gorgeous bowl, lavish multicolor florals hand painted as always. Typical Southern Potteries qualtiy, charming but never perfect. NOTE: From a good collection of Blue Ridge, some rare pieces. See my other listings or inquire. Incorporated at Erwin, Tennessee in 1920, Southern Potteries grew slowly until they introduced the "Blue Ridge - Hand Painted Under The Glaze" dinnerware line about 1938. Extremely popular and successful through the 1940's and early 1950's, they were unable to compete with post-war Japan production, and the Southern Potteries finally closed in 1957.
