Japanese Imari Soba-Choko Cup Antique sometsuke porcelain cup featuring design of 2 dragons chasing each other through clouds and over waves! Inside bottom is design of stylized waves and clouds. Inside around rim is floral design. This is hand-painted underglaze! Circa 18th century, Edo era. From parent's personal collection amassed while living in Japan from mid 1950's thru early 70's! Measures 2 1/2" tall and is 3" in diameter across top. Excellent condition! No chips, cracks, crazing or repairs! Minor imperfections typical of old Imari.
