Bluebox Elite Force N.American P-51D Mustang WWII 1:18 Description Many people consider the P-51 Mustang the best fighter of WWII. Its combination of speed, range, maneuverability, and firepower gave it great versatility. It was used in all major theaters of the war in roles that included long range, high altitude escort of bombers, close air support for ground troops, and photo reconnaissance. This highly detailed 1:18 scale U.S. P-51 Mustang is part of the 1:18 scale Elite Force series. It depicts the aircraft 'Old Crow' flown by Clarence 'Bud' Anderson of the 357th Fighter Group of the 363rd Fighter Squadron during World War II. This collectible P-51 Mustang is approximately 21 inches long and has a wingspan of approximatetly 25 inches. It has many detailed features, including a bubble canopy with sliding open/close action and a detailed cockpit with control stick, gun sight, and pilot seat. It also features workable flaps and control surfaces, working landing gear and landing gear doors, two external drop tanks, and a propeller that spins. The aircraft comes complete with a fully poseable P-51 pilot figure with 17 points of articulation and a removeable helmet. This is sealed and never displayed. Box does have some light shelf wear.
