Bluford Shops 14040 14-panel Rib Side 3-Bay Hopper Rio Grande TEN CAR LOT! Just imagine these ten Bluford Shops D&RGW 3-bay hoppers , with the beautiful "flying" Rio Grande lettering and ten unique road numbers , climbing a grade on your N scale pike! You don't need to model the Grande in order to use these cars. A coal-originating road, the D&RGW sent traffic through to its numerous interchange partners, including the Rock Island , Santa Fe , and Burlington in Colorado, as well as the Southern Pacific , Western Pacific , and Union Pacific in Utah. Through the Colorado connections, D&RGW traffic made its way to the great Eastern roads ( NYC and Penn ). And through the WP connection, D&RGW cars traversed the Great Northern and Northern Pacific .All of these cars are in brand-new condition and were removed from their boxes in order to take the high-resolution pictures you'll see here -- pictures that depict the actual cars you're buying . Each car is equipped with body-mounted Accumate couplers. As I can attest from test operations on other, similarly equipped Bluford Shops hoppers, you can expect reliable operation from these finely-crafted cars . A huge plus, especially when you're buying a large fleet, is that all of them come with a really nicely molded simulated coal load -- an accessory that you'd otherwise have to purchase separately.
