Item: Artist: Signed/unsigned Year: Rolled/folded Size Condition: Description: BOAC Speedbird poster F.H.K. Henrion Signed 1989 Rolled 56cm x 84cm Excellent F.H.K. Henrion Henri Kay Henrion was a leading graphic designer of the 20th century. He worked for the Ministry of Information during the WWII and subsequently became a pioneer of the new concept of 'corporate identity', working with clients such as British European Airways and the Post Office. In 1989, under Henrion's guidance, Staffordshire Polytechnic became the first place in the UK to offer a course in graphic design. To mark the occasion, many of Henrion's poster designs were reprinted for an exhibition in this year, including his famous Speedbird poster for BOAC. This poster is one of the reprinted posters of 1989 and is hand signed by Henrion. There are very minor signs of edge wear but overall the poster is in fine+ condition. Postage: all posters are supplied in strong, secure packaging.
