Vintage Production Art Wow! This auction is for one of several AMAZING 1950s Hand drawn sketches I have listed this week that were all in Robert “Bob” McKimson's personal collection up until the 1970s or so. This particular piece of art features several different styles of mouse that were to be used in an unknown cartoon. McKimson was trying to work through some details of the character and this drawing was only for that purpose. You can actually see that he circled the center two and the one on the left, which are the ones he probably decided to put into production. These working drawings are MUCH more rare than production art simply because they are usually one of a kind and were mostly destroyed soon after. The drawings are ORIGINAL, NOT reproductions – you are getting the actual sketch that McKimson did back in the 1950s in graphite. I actually have a drawing from this collection that is signed by McKimson, so you can be assured these are real, original drawings – and again, it is guaranteed as such! Entire sheet measures about 12" x 9½" and is in great condition with minor creasing. More about this collection: This piece comes from an enormous collection of movie memorabilia from the Wisconsin area. The original owner was a distributor for cartoons and such and is probably the largest collection of authentic memorabilia in read more
